I wasn’t 100% sure about this audiobook, I’m glad I took a chance and listen to it! This is actually really really good! I ended up buying it on audible just to support the author. It reminds me a lot of the anime called so what I’m a spider? But it’s got a little more humor in it

Its somewhat like “So I’m a Spider, So What?” but it’s a slower build up and currently it doesn’t appear to have the human party counter point. It sounds like there is no goal of joining humanoids. Its okay but the world seems empty because everything is generic monsters except for 2.
Maybe its a slow first book but not a very good set up for future books.

the first book is about Anthony’s attempt at surviving a living hell in a dungeon and later books are about him thriving even after everything the dungeon can throw at him. lots of humor and and comedy (mostly at Anthony’s expense)
its a fantastic story, yes it starts out slow but it builds on itself and as Anthony learns more about the world the depth of Pangera will become know in future books. the world is vast and complex and the character building and their interactions are well thought out and the misunderstanding they have are endlessly amusing.

So bad even Jeff Hays can’t save it, but since people are saying it gets better in later books i will try and force myself through the second one as well.
This book us pretty much like a guy going to the gym. Then swapping to heavier weights, using a new machine, repeat repeat repeat. There is a little bit of story when the perspective changes to characters not related to the MC, but not much. I say skip this and go directly to book 2 unless you like hearing some whiny kid talking to himself while doing training.
