Welcome to Somerset.
A land of mystery and magic!
You have been chosen by our Illustrious Overlord to take part in The Rules: a no holds barred death-match, to see who among you is the most powerful. You have been transported here against your will. The only way back is to reach level 100 and defeat the final boss. Please do be careful with your life, as it is the only one you’ll get.
Have a pleasant match, and remember, we’re always watching….
When Sam wakes up in a strange new world with a message floating before his eyes, he thinks he’s hallucinating. However, he soon discovers a land filled with dungeons, monsters, angry gnomes, and even worse, talking dogs!
Warning: This is a LitRPG book, containing multiple stat sheets, message windows, dungeons, and epic loot. This book contains excessive amounts of profanity, so if you’re a delicate flower, be advised to listen to something else. You have been warned.

The real warning about these books shouldn’t be about the language so much, it’s about how the author self-sabotagues himself. Book 1 is fun, book 2 gets weirdly self-referential and book 3 is basically abandoned as the author decides to go on rants about internet commenters then it just ends. Plus swearing.

I am inclined to agree with the previous comment, book one is a really good read that is let down by the next instalments. Doug Tisdale Jr. does a great job narrating.

I’m quite sure that one of those internet commenters he complains about in book three is me. I Think I have one of the top review on one of the website where I complain about the MC and give him a 1 star. Literally minute 1 in the first book. “A God says don’t hurt a rabbit. MC Goes I’ma kill a rabbit!” I personally just don’t like books where the plot is moved by the MC holding the stupid ball. I didn’t mind the cursing and the narrator did a good job.

I really liked his other books.
But this one just felt off. And yeah, book 1 good, book 2 not as good, book 3 just… strange
